How do I know what modalities/treatment methods do I need?
Based on the history of your symptoms, level of pain, functional assessment during the consultation and examination, Dr. Choi will discuss the best possible treatment options including the choice of modalities and their indications and effectiveness of your conditions. The patient will be informed and educated about how certain modality will work and its outcome during the report of findings and treatment sessions.
How long will the each visit take?
It may vary depending on what treatment modality is used. However, typical treatment session would generally take 15-30 minutes. Each visit will be allotted with proper assessment and treatment for the best outcomes. We will ensure your pleasant visit with comfort during the treatment time. You just need to relax and enjoy the treatment, followed by proper rest and hydration!
Which services will be covered by my insurances?
It depends on your insurance coverage. From an insurance policy to another, their coverage may vary. Our staff will check what services will be covered, and inform you prior to rendering the service(s). The patient will be responsible for non-covered services. We will try to be clear and specific as possible which service is included and which is not.
Is nutrition/metabolic program covered by insurance?
Typically not. Insurance companies typically cover for prescription medications but not for natural herbs or supplements. Nutritional therapy is also largely based on life style modification therapy which includes counseling and guidance for dietary changes and related daily habit modification. These are generally not part of the covered services under most insurance.
What shall I do to get the most out of my sessions?
- Arrive on time
- Wear loose clothing for easy access below elbows and knees, possibly abdomen
- Eat a light meal so you don’t arrive hungry
- Refrain from alcohol or recreational drugs before treatment
- Keep to the visit schedule because chiropractic/acupuncture’s effects are cumulative
- Between visits, make notes of changes in your condition.
